The ocher earth color YELLOW OCHRE

Ocher is the oldest family of pigments of all, and in modeling one never grows out of it. It is a warm earthy tone between yellow and brown, which on a model reads at once as dust, soil, dry grass or light wood. It is used in two ways: on its own as a color and at the same time as a muting admixture, because a drop of ocher knocks an oversaturated shade into a more realistic position and unifies areas that look assembled from different finishes. Nor is it missing from desert camouflages, where it forms the starting tone. Earthy tones hold a whole model together, because the eye takes them as the common setting in which the machine moves. The metal tube holds 20 ml, and the name of the range gives the acrylic composition.

Who the color suits

It will be reached for by the builder of machines who mixes dusty effects himself, and by the painter of figures working on leather straps and canvas gear. Earthy tones are used up fastest of all, so the volume of the tube makes good sense here and lasts considerably longer than a small bottle.

Mix a thick earth color on the palette slowly, otherwise unmixed places will stay in the mixture. Close the tube and store it out of the reach of children.
