The periscope paint from Sira Hobby is a water-thinnable acrylic paint intended for the periscopes and vision blocks of combat vehicles and for the signal or position lights of aircraft models. It is deliberately semi-transparent (non-covering) — the green shade works as a tinting glaze, so you determine the final saturation and transparency by the number of coats applied or by thinning it with water. That is how you achieve a realistic glass look for the optics.
