Heavy hexagonal rivets from the Japanese brand Top Studio, 0.9 mm in diameter and in a silver finish. This is neither a model nor a kit but accessory detail parts meant to be fitted to a car or motorcycle model under construction. The number in the name gives the diameter of the rivet head, not the scale of the model.
Nine tenths of a millimeter is the next to last and thus one of the heaviest sizes in a range that ends at 1.0 mm. Rivets this big are aimed at large scales and at structurally massive joints: tube frame joints, engine feet and flanges, exhaust system mounts, shock absorber and anti-roll bar anchorages. In the silver finish they match ordinary steel hardware, so on the chassis and in the engine bay they look natural even unpainted.
Top Studio hex rivets come in three versions, A, B and C, with a different head shape. Version C is available in both a silver and a brass variant, so you can match the same shape to the color of its surroundings. On a single model it is better to stick to one version, otherwise the hardware looks inconsistent.
At this diameter the hole is already big enough for any inaccuracy to show. Pre-drill with a smaller bit first and only then widen the hole to the final size; it will wander less. Watch the depth so that the rivet seats on the surface with its whole head and does not sit at an angle. Before the glue sets, align the rotation of the hexagons, because on larger heads an uneven angle is noticeable. Apply the glue with a wire, not straight from the bottle.
