A kit of a French Renault military vehicle in the version designated ADF1, in 1:100 scale. Zebranomodel builds a whole line of French interwar equipment and releases the individual versions separately, so an extensive collection can be put together. The 1:100 scale is the domain of collectors of large collections, small dioramas and tabletop gaming groups.
Renault was among the key suppliers to the French army in the period between the world wars. Its vehicles are commonly listed in documentation and in modeling references under factory type codes made up of a few letters and a digit, which on their own give away neither the kind of vehicle nor its armament. In the 1930s the French army was building mechanized units made up of light reconnaissance vehicles, tractors, trucks and tanks, among which Renault equipment was strongly represented.
Cut the parts off with a sharp scalpel leaving a margin and clean them up only once they are off the sprue. Always try the joints dry and apply the glue in drops. For injection-molded plastic use thin modeling cement; with resin parts wash them free of release agent residue first and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Paint the underside of the vehicle before you close the hull. Lay the base on in a thin layer, thin the paint well and spray at low pressure, so that the fine detail stays legible. French camouflage is well suggested in this scale with a fine brush; keep the weathering restrained.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
