A kit of the French Renault AMR 35 light tracked vehicle in the ZT2 variant, in 1:100. The model is part of an extensive line in which Zebranomodel works through the individual variants of the same chassis one by one; the ZT1b, ZT3 and ZT4 variants are made in the same line too. A collector can therefore build a whole development group of vehicles in one scale. The number of parts, the material and the contents of the package are stated on the packaging of the kit.
The AMR 35 was a small French tracked vehicle introduced in the second half of the 1930s for reconnaissance and cavalry units. It was noted for its low weight, thin armor and good mobility. A range of forms was built on its chassis, among them variants armed with an anti-tank gun, with which the French army tried to give its light units the ability to defend themselves against armored vehicles. The variant designation in the name refers to a particular form of superstructure and armament.
A small scale forgives little: clean the parting lines up with a sharp scalpel and fine sandpaper and dose the glue on the tip of a thin wire, so that it does not run over the engraved detail. Paint the running gear and the lower hull before closing the assembly up. Thin the paint considerably and spray at low pressure; a heavy coat would clog the fine moldings. Camouflage with crisp edges can be drawn in with a fine brush in this scale. For weathering, one thin wash into the recesses and a dry brush on the edges is enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
