A kit of the command guise of the Japanese Type 95 Ha-Go light tank with reworked suspension in 1:100 scale from Zebranomodel. Two distinguishing details are in the name: it is the command version, and it is the guise with suspension reworked for service in Manchuria. The v.1 designation then sets this item apart from the second guise of the same variant.
The Type 95 Ha-Go had bell-crank suspension, which on hard and uneven ground led to pronounced pitching of the vehicle. For service in the conditions of Manchuria a reworking of the running gear was therefore created, meant to limit this shortcoming and to improve the behavior of the vehicle on the move. Outwardly it showed in a changed arrangement of the running gear elements, so it is easily recognizable on a model. The command guise differed in addition in its extended signals equipment and the antenna gear that went with it.
On this variant the running gear is the main focal element, so give its alignment attention: assemble on a flat surface and check that, once cured, the model stands on all the running gear elements. Sand the parting lines down with fine paper and apply the glue in the smallest possible amount. Glue the antenna parts at the end. Paint over a thin primer, lay the base shade on in coats and keep the patina restrained. The lower hull and the running gear deserve light dust or dry earth, which visually sets the finished model on the ground.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
