The package contains plastic sprues, clear parts and decals for several options; the exact contents are given on the packaging.
The YF-22 was a prototype that came out of the American advanced tactical fighter program at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. It emphasized reduced radar signature, supersonic flight without afterburner and high agility thanks to thrust vectoring. In its day it represented the leading edge of aviation technology and became the basis for the later production fifth-generation fighter. The angular shapes and the flowing silhouette make the model a striking modern piece for a collection.
Pay attention to the fit of the fuselage halves and the leading edges; sand the joints so that the smooth surface comes out. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and mask the cockpit glazing. Apply the low-visibility gray shades with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and avoid overdone weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
