An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Boeing 307 Stratoliner airliner in 1:144 scale from Roden. The box holds light gray plastic sprues, a clear glazing part and a decal sheet. The model is assembled and painted.
The Boeing 307 Stratoliner was a pioneering airliner of the late 1930s that made its name as one of the first aircraft with a pressurized cabin. That allowed flight at higher altitudes above bad weather and brought passengers greater comfort. It is recognizable by its rounded fuselage and four-engine layout. Only a small number were built, yet it earned its place in the history of civil aviation.
The smooth rounded fuselage calls for clean joints, so expect to fill and sand the seams. Dry-fit the parts and use thin cement for plastic. We recommend a primer and airbrush application; on polished metal surfaces, metallic shades work well, and they need thorough stirring and a smooth surface underneath.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
