1:144 Decal C-47/Li-2 MALÉV (for EAST.EXPRESS kit)

Decals C-47/Li-2 MALÉV 1:144, HAD models

A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:144 scale with the markings of the Hungarian airline Malév. The set is meant for models of the transport aircraft Douglas C-47 (the civil DC-3) and of its license-built Soviet counterpart the Lisunov Li-2 in 1:144 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for marking a finished model.

The real subject

Malév was the Hungarian national air carrier, which in its early days operated among others exactly the Li-2 and DC-3 types. These twin-engine piston aircraft made up the backbone of postwar transport in Central Europe.

Use

• Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat, ideally on models in 1:144 scale.
• Dip the cut-out marking briefly in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Given how fine the pieces are at a small scale, work with soft tweezers and a softener.
• Once it is dry, go over it with a clear varnish.

Who it is for

It will be appreciated by collectors of civil transport aircraft and by modelers interested in the history of Malév and in Central European aviation, who want to build a machine in authentic Hungarian colors.

The accessory does not hold the model itself. The paints, the varnish and the glue are not included in the package.
