This set from MH models is a painting mask for 1:32 scale. It is neither a model nor a kit but a set of self-adhesive masks: you lay them on a varnished surface, spray over them with paint and once they are removed the markings are left directly in the layer of color, without the glossy film typical of decals. The masks are punched to the shape of the Hobby Boss kit.
The Douglas A-26B Invader was an American twin-engine attack aircraft with a crew of several and all-metal construction. The A-26B version was distinguished by a solid, unglazed nose fitted with machine guns, unlike the glazed nose of the navigator version. The machine was powered by two radial engines, it had nosewheel landing gear and in service it excelled in both speed and range. It stayed in service considerably longer than most of its contemporaries.
Masks for markings are often very small, because in 1:32 scale letters, numerals and individual segments come down to a few millimeters. Without proper tweezers they are hard to handle. Straight tweezers with a fine but blunt tip work well, as sharp points cut into the paper. Never pick a mask up by its adhesive side, always only by the edge. With small insignia it pays to lift them with the tip of a scalpel and only then take them over with tweezers. For accurate placement, adhesive tape stuck on the model as a guide line helps, or a piece of the backing film used as a handle. Before you let a mask go, check its position by eye from several angles, because once you have pressed it down it can only be moved to a limited extent.
This is not a kit but a masking set. The model itself and the paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
