What the set contains

The set brings five bald heads in 1:16 scale, each of them with a different expression of the face. These are replacement heads for figures in the same scale, with which you can replace the head supplied with the kit or complete a figure of your own building.

Where it is useful

A figure of an adult character comes out at roughly eleven centimeters in 1:16 scale, so the head is large enough for detailed painting of the face including the eyes and the shadows. Five different expressions let you set several characters side by side that do not come across as copies of one another. A bald head is at the same time a universal starting point: either it stays without headgear, or a cap, a helmet or headphones are fitted on it according to the character you are building.

Building and painting tips

• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully.
• Wash and degrease the head before painting, otherwise the paint does not hold on the surface.
• Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; cyanoacrylate glue holds on resin and on plastic alike.
• Paint the face in thin layers, build the shadows up gradually and fix the finished head with a matte varnish.
• Try the fit onto the neck of the figure dry and level the surface as needed.

Who the set is for

The set suits modelers who build figures in the larger scales and want control of the character's expression themselves. It also comes in useful where several identical figures repeat in a diorama and they need to be told apart. The set contains five heads; the bodies of the figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
