Aber – Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger I, Ausf.E (Sd.Kfz.181), early version (1:16) is an extensive metal detail set for refining a large model of the German heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
This extensive metal detail set from the Polish maker Aber in 1:16 scale is intended for refining a model of the German Tiger I, Ausf.E (Sd.Kfz.181) heavy tank in the early form. It is not a kit of the tank but a set of photo-etched and turned parts that replace the simplified plastic elements and lift the realism of the surface.
The Tiger I Ausf.E was a German heavy tank of the Second World War armed with a gun of 8.8 cm caliber. The early forms differed from the later ones in a number of details on the hull, the turret and the running gear. Catching those differences faithfully is the key thing for a collector.
Bend the photo-etched parts over the edge of a metal ruler and glue the metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Work in subassemblies and fit the details before closing the hull. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer for good adhesion.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
