This item is neither a kit of a vehicle nor a figure but a resin accessory in its own right: the helmet of a tank crew in 1:16 scale. The number two in the name designates the second variant in the numbered range the manufacturer offers. The large scale makes it possible to work out detail that is lost in the small scales: the shape of the shell, the straps and the inner lining.

Use

• You can put the helmet on a figure, lay it in an open hatch, on the turret, on a fender or on a box of equipment as a small storytelling detail of a scene.
• First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, as there tends to be mold release residue on the surface that prevents the paint from adhering.
• Cut the casting block off with a saw or a scalpel with something to spare and sand the remainder; do not break resin, as it cracks somewhere other than you expect.
• Gluing exclusively with cyanoacrylate glue; cements for plastic do not work on resin.
• Sand wet and with your airways protected, as resin dust is not to be inhaled.
• After priming, in a large scale it pays to model the shadows and highlights, to add a fine wash and to suggest wear on the edges.

Who the accessory is for

For builders of the large scales, collectors of details and authors of dioramas and vignettes who want to complete a scene with a convincing small object. Working with resin is easy, but it calls for different procedures than plastic: washing, a sharp cut and cyanoacrylate glue.
