1:24/1:35 Advertising Product Posters is a printed paper sheet with advertising posters for dioramas — an accessory for a scene, not a kit and not a waterslide decal. According to the name it is prepared for 1:24 and 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed sheet with advertising posters belongs among the paper accessories with which a setting is given to a diorama. It is not a model and not a decal; the motifs are cut out and glued where advertising would be in reality too — on the gable of a house, in a shop window, on the wall by an entrance or inside a shop and a workshop.
Advertising print has a different function in a scene from lettering or a sign: it carries color and draws the eye. That can be used to lead the gaze to the main element of a diorama — a poster by a door turns attention toward a figure, an area on a wall balances an empty background behind machinery. At the same time less is more: an overcrowded wall looks like a sample book, while two or three well placed motifs are enough. Try the layout out dry and with a camera, because the lens is precisely what shows mercilessly what is superfluous in a scene.
Cut with a new edge along a rule on a cutting mat and go over the edges after trimming with a dark shade, so that the white cut does not glare. It is glued with PVA glue for paper applied in a thin layer to both sides of the joint; thinning with water lengthens the time for repositioning. Once dry, go over the area with matte clear coat. In the larger 1:24 scale a poster can be backed with thin card, so that it has a thickness of its own and casts a shadow.
The sheet is supplied as a printed accessory. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
