What kind of accessory it is

This is a detail part for plastic models of cars and Formula racers. This group takes in the small accessories with which a modeler replaces or completes the elements of a kit: parts of the engine bay, controls and instruments, exhausts, fasteners and similar trifles by which a carefully built car is recognized.

Before you start building

The exact form is given in the manufacturer's instructions and in what is stated on the box of the set with the manufacturer's part number YMPTUN5. From those you will see that the part fits the kit you are building, and in the size you are building it in. With small accessories that matters more than with large parts, because a difference of a few tenths of a millimeter shows on a finished car.

General rules for working with small accessories

Before building, tip the small parts out into a dish so that they do not roll away, and pick them up with tweezers, not with your fingers. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, or the paint will not hold. Choose the glue according to the material of the part: modeling cement on polystyrene, super glue on other materials. Until the parts come up in the build, store them in a resealable bag in a dry place.
