An Arabic man sitting on a stone wall in 1:24 scale is a civilian figure from the MAiM brand in a resting position, ideal for built dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A civilian figure in 1:24 scale caught in a seated position. It is not a kit of equipment, but an accessory for a scene. The seated position is described precisely in the name: the figure is modeled to sit on a low stone wall, that is, with the legs bent and the weight carried on the seat. When planning a scene, reckon with the possibility that the wall is not part of the package, and check the contents once it arrives.
Figures in a resting position are more valuable in a diorama than they seem. A standing figure only fills a scene, while a seated one gives it rhythm: it creates a lower mass on which the eye settles between tall objects, and it suggests that in the scene someone is waiting, watching or resting. Civilian Arabic dress rests on loose flowing cloth and on natural coloring from broken white through sand and ocher to brown, which contrasts well with equipment in a scene.
First wash the parts and let them dry, cut off the gates and any supports and level the surfaces with a file and abrasive paper wet and with respiratory protection. Glue resin and printed parts with super glue. Before gluing, stand the figure dry in the place where you want to seat it and check that the seat beds down over its whole area — with seated figures that is the most frequent snag. Apply the base coat in a thin layer. Build the dress up from a middle tone toward highlights on the edges of the folds and shadows at the bottom of them, and dust the lower hem and the footwear with pigment so that the figure blends visually with the base. Paint the skin in glazes, layer by layer.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
