An injection-molded plastic car kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima. The model captures the generation of the Toyota Crown with the chassis code AWS210 in the hybrid standard of the top Royal Saloon trim. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with chrome-plated and clear parts for a faithful look of the body, the windows and the lights, and with a set of wheels.
The Toyota Crown is a traditional Japanese luxury sedan with a long history. The AWS210 generation was sold in the mid-2010s and the hybrid version combined a gasoline engine with an electric motor. The car is typified by conservative elegance, a roomy interior and equipment aimed at comfort. The real length of the car matches a full-size sedan of the upper class.
Spray the body with an airbrush and tune the gloss with a clear varnish for the effect of a factory metallic finish. Glue the chrome-plated parts with cyanoacrylate, so that the cement does not dull the surface. The clear lenses of the lights come out best once the reflector surfaces have been painted. Finish the interior and the chassis before you close the body up.
