1:72 R-27R - AA-10 Alamo A (2 pcs) is a pair of the basic Soviet medium-range missiles with radar guidance for models in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two missiles of the starting version of the whole family, that is the variant with semi-active radar guidance and a shorter body. It was precisely this form that MiG-29 fighters carried most often, and without it the stores of a model look incomplete.
The missile appeared in the 1980s as an answer to Western weapons of a comparable category. After launch it first flies inertially on data handed over by the carrier, refines its course in flight through a data link and only in the closing stage switches to the reflected signal from the radar of the fighter. Because of that the pilot has to keep the target illuminated to the end, which ties him down in combat. Characteristic are the butterfly-wing shaped surfaces at the forward part of the body, which deliberately destabilize the missile and give it agility.
The cover over the seeker head is usually a different shade from the body, generally toward greenish or light gray. Go over the joint between the nose and the body with a fine filler and sand along the axis, so that the fine engraving is not wiped away. After spraying, give the whole a thin flat coat; a glossy missile looks improperly large in 1:72 scale. Seat both missiles symmetrically, ideally with the help of a piece of strip as a rest.
The package consists of the stores alone; the base model and the modeling chemicals have to be bought as well.
