A kit of the AE85 Levin car in 1:24 scale, in the guise designated Takeuchi Ver. from the licensed Initial D range.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AE85 Levin is a Japanese coupe that came to modelers' notice above all through the Initial D series. This item belongs to precisely that licensed Initial D range and carries the designation Takeuchi Ver., by which the manufacturer distinguishes a particular guise of the car within the range. The 1:24 scale is the most common for car kits, so the finished model sits well among the other vehicles in a display case.
A car kit is built differently from an aircraft: the whole body is on show and what decides is above all the quality of the paint, not the quantity of detail. So first sort the parts according to what can be painted separately, and only then glue. Sand the surplus material down after cutting and polish out the sanding marks on the body, because every scratch shows under gloss paint. Apply cement intended for plastic kits sparingly, as any excess cannot be disguised on surfaces that are on show.
Wash and degrease the body, apply a primer and spray the paint in several thin coats; one heavy coat fills the transitions in the shape and runs easily. Let the paint dry thoroughly between coats. Glue the glazing last of all and with a glue that will not fog a clear part. Assemble and paint the interior while the body is set aside, so that you can reach everywhere.
Paints, varnishes, glue and other modeling supplies are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
