This is a resin set of replacement wheels, not a model of the aircraft. It holds detailed main landing gear wheels for the American P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in 1:24 scale. This is the set 2 variant, which differs from the other wheel sets for the P-47D in its execution and tire tread. The tread has faithful definition and a hinted weighted sag, and the hubs are cast with sharp detail. The wheels are intended for the Kinetic kit.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was one of the most rugged fighters of the Second World War. Thanks to its powerful radial engine and heavy armament it proved itself as an escort fighter and as a tough fighter-bomber alike.
The resin wheels replace the plastic parts from the kit and raise the realism of the landing gear. The range of variants makes it possible to pick the tread matching the subject you have in mind.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires matte black-gray, the hubs in the color of the aircraft, and bring them out with a wash. The weighted sag helps the model sit correctly on a surface.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
