A resin detail set from CMK in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory that replaces the kit exhaust pipes with more faithfully rendered resin parts with suggested hollow openings. The set is intended for models of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-3 fighter.
The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a light and agile Soviet fighter of the closing stage of the Second World War, powered by a Klimov V engine. It excelled in superb handling at low and medium altitudes and was among the favorite machines of Soviet and French (Normandie-Niemen) pilots alike. The V engine had characteristic rows of exhaust stubs along the sides of the nose.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The exhausts come into their own once painted in metallic rusty shades and then brought out with pigments and a dark wash.
The set contains resin parts and serves as an accessory to a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
