A plastic kit of the Lola T90-50 single-seat racing car in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa, in the colors of the British team Paul Stewart Racing. It is a single-seater of the Formula 3000 category, that is a car one step below the top formula class of the day. The 1:24 scale is the usual one for single-seaters of this series from this manufacturer and allows the suspension and the engine area to be worked out in detail. The Lola T90-50 was a British-designed chassis run in the 1990 season in the international and the Japanese Formula 3000 series. The category was built on a single type of engine with a rev limit and on standardized tires, so what decided the result was the setup of the chassis, the aerodynamics and the work of the team. The cars had a classic composite monocoque, open wheels and front and rear downforce wings with adjustable elements. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s the Paul Stewart Racing team was among the British teams that brought drivers up for the higher classes in the junior formula categories.
On single-seaters what decides is the combination of clean paint and precisely placed decals, of which there tend to be a great many. First smooth the body and apply a filler primer, because parting lines on smooth surfaces show very clearly. Spray light colors over a white base so that the shade stays rich. Before the decals you must lay on a gloss coat and use a decal softener, so that the large areas of decal settle into the transitions of the body. Glue the wheel suspension according to the instructions on a flat surface, otherwise the car will not stand on all its wheels. Leave the tires matte; the contrast with the glossy body makes the final impression.
