Resin wheels with smooth hubs and weighted tires for the AH-64 Apache in 1:32 scale from Armory. A detailed replacement for the kit wheels of the attack helicopter with natural tire flattening.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels from Armory for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter in 1:32 scale. This version has smooth hubs; for machines with spoked hubs the maker offers a separate set. The tires are cast with weighted deformation - a slight flattening where they touch the ground - so the model stands naturally on its landing gear. The one-piece castings offer cleaner drawing of the hubs and the sidewalls than split kit parts allow.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter, the backbone of army aviation since the 1980s. It uses fixed wheeled landing gear with two main wheels and a tail wheel at the rear - the main wheels are clearly visible on a model and their form differs between individual machines precisely in the shape of the hubs. The set deals with replacing the main wheels more faithfully than an ordinary molding can manage.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the marks down with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires a very dark gray and the hubs according to the particular machine; dusting the landing gear with pigments will do it good.
This is a resin accessory - the helicopter kit itself is not included in the package.
