1:32 B-17B/C/D/E/F Flying Fortress wheels with weighted tires type b (FS) and photo-etched hubcaps are a resin replacement for the main landing gear wheels of the early Flying Fortresses. An accessory to a model, not a kit of the aircraft.

Armory supplies the main wheels of the early Flying Fortresses as resin castings with weighted tires and adds photo-etched hub covers. This is tire type b (FS), that is a different tread and a different sidewall outline from the sister set of type a. The application is the same: the B-17B, C, D, E and F versions. It is not a model of the aircraft but a replacement part for landing gear that is already built.
On operational machines wheels were a consumable and were changed for whatever was at hand, so one aircraft could even carry two different types. That is exactly why the manufacturer issues the same wheel with more than one tread. A period photograph of the aircraft you are building decides: watch the pattern of the tread and the shape of the sidewall. If you cannot trace the particular machine, no harm is done by choosing the type that appears most often in photographs of the unit concerned.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water because of any mold release residue. The casting block tends to run along the contact patch, so after cutting it off level the surface on abrasive paper laid on a flat base, so that the flattening stays even. Sand wet and use respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and an accelerator will speed the joint up. Bend the photo-etched hub cover gently over a round handle, so that it follows the domed hub, and glue it with the smallest amount of glue, so that none runs into the fine engraving. We recommend mixing the tire to a dark gray with a hint of brown; pure black looks unnaturally harsh at 1:32 scale.
This is an accessory set, not a model of the aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. Check the match with the landing gear of your own model beforehand.
