A masking set for the Bell AH-1G Cobra in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. Self-adhesive masks for the cockpit glazing, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a model of the Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The set holds self-adhesive masks pre-cut to the shape of the glazing frames, so lengthy cutting out of masking tape falls away. Note that photo-etched sets for the same helicopter are also sold under the same name; this item is a masking set. The exact contents of the package are not stated here.
The AH-1G was the first production helicopter designed from the outset as an attack machine. It was based on the powerplant and rotor head of the UH-1 series transport helicopter, but it got an entirely new, very narrow fuselage with a two-seat cockpit in tandem. The gunner sat in front, the pilot higher up behind him. The extensive flat cockpit glazing is characteristic of this type, and so on a model it makes up a considerable part of the visible surface.
First degrease the glazing and let it dry out completely. Transfer the masks with tweezers and press them down with a wooden toothpick, especially along the edges, so that no paint runs underneath. The flat surfaces of the Cobra's cockpit are rewarding to mask, but it is precisely on them that every corner not pressed down shows. Spray in thin layers and take the mask off shortly after the finish has dried, pulling it at an angle across the edge of the frame.
The set holds masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
