The LööKplus range builds on the LööK sets, which combine a pre-colored resin instrument panel with steel seat belts, and supplements them with further resin parts for the same kit. The customer therefore gets more than just a cabin, and all in one package. It is made by the Czech company Eduard from Obrnice near Most. Which accessories are in the package in addition is given in the manufacturer's catalog. This is not a kit but accessories to a separately sold model.
The Curtiss P-40E was an American single-engine fighter with a liquid-cooled engine and a conspicuous cooling bath under the nose. In British and Allied usage it was designated Kittyhawk. It was deployed in North Africa, in the Pacific and on other fronts of the Second World War and relied more on the strength of the airframe and performance at low altitude than on its qualities higher up. In 1:32 scale the result is a model with a span of about thirty-five centimeters, where an open cabin and fine detail are visible at first glance.
Clean the pre-colored instrument panel up only lightly after taking it out of the casting block, as the printing is thin. A drop of gloss varnish on the dials will imitate the glass of an instrument. Degrease the steel belts, draw them over a round object so that they have a natural sag, and attach them with super glue. Wash the other resin parts in warm water with dish soap, cut them off with a saw and prime them before painting. Finish the whole cabin, weathering included, before you close the fuselage up, as you will not reach it afterwards.
These are accessories, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
