This set from the Czech maker HGW contains the seat belts of the pilot's seat for models of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but a cockpit accessory: the belts are made of genuine fine microfiber and, together with the photo-etched buckles and fittings supplied, they create a very realistic detail. The fabric wrinkles and drapes naturally over the seat, which puts it ahead of plastic and purely metal belts alike.
The straps are laser cut with precision and come out of the sheet easily. The material stands up to ordinary non-aggressive modeling products, so it will take filters and tinting for darkening and shading.
Separate the belt along the marked line with a sharp knife, shorten it to the length you need and thread it through the photo-etched buckles. Work it gently between your fingers for a natural shape and glue it into the seat. Use white glue rather than super glue, which could attack the plastic. Once dry it can be sprayed with varnish and the shade adjusted with very heavily thinned oil paint.
This is an accessory (seat belts), not a kit. The model and paints are not included in the package.
