About product

Japanese Ho-103 12.7 mm machine gun - turned metal barrels 1:32 (MASTER)

This is NOT a model of an airplane but a detail accessory. The set contains two turned metal barrels of the Japanese Ho-103 aircraft machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber in 1:32 scale. The metal parts replace the soft plastic barrels from the box and give the model fine, realistic detail.

The real subject

The Ho-103 (Type 1) was a Japanese heavy aircraft machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber which armed the fighters of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in the Second World War. It was among the most widespread Japanese aircraft armament of that caliber.

Usage tips

Glue the metal barrels into drilled holes with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Deburr and degrease the parts, after which they can be painted with metallic shades. Metal holds its shape better than a thin plastic barrel.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers of Japanese aircraft of the Second World War in 1:32
  • Anyone interested in a faithful metal replacement for the armament
  • Builders who are not satisfied with the plastic barrels from the box
  • More advanced modelers working with metal accessories

This is a metal detail accessory, not an airplane kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
