The fabric seat belts HGW 1:32 Junkers D.I – Seatbelts for the cockpit of the all-metal fighter low-wing monoplane. Laser-cut fabric with metal buckles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an accessory for a cockpit, not a kit of the aircraft. It is made up of straps of printed microtextile cut by laser and photo-etched metal buckles. It is intended for models of the Junkers D.I aircraft in 1:32 scale.
The Junkers D.I was a single-seat fighter low-wing monoplane of the close of the First World War, remarkable in design for its all-metal construction with a corrugated duralumin skin. Its cockpit was open and simple, so on a model in a large scale every detail tells. The combination of a smooth metal structure and soft fabric straps also creates a contrast that breaks the result up in a visually interesting way.
Take the part out of the sheet, remove the backing paper and work the strap between your fingers. The ends are threaded through the buckles and secured with a spot of cyanoacrylate; a classic cement for plastic will not bond the fabric. The fabric will take a fine wash or a filter, with which the straps lose their factory cleanliness. With a metal interior it proves useful to leave the straps on the lighter side, so that they stand apart from the base.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but an accessory for the interior. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
