A replacement instrument panel for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E fighter in 1:32 scale, intended for the Cyber Hobby kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 E, commonly given under the designation Me 109 E as well, was the main version of the German fighter in the first years of the war. The cockpit was cramped, and the instrument panel in it forms one of the few surfaces that are really visible once the canopy is closed. That is exactly why it pays to replace the part from the kit there: from close up every dial face and its rim shows.
The injection-molded plastic part has the instruments only suggested in 1:32 scale, and the builder has to paint them in. The replacement panel brings a finer drawing of the dial faces, legible divisions and sharp edges, which look right in scale when you look into the cockpit. The panel is intended for the Cyber Hobby kit, so with other kits dry-fit it first and adjust the surface beneath it.
Cut the original panel out of the kit with a sharp blade and sand the surface flat, so that the replacement sits home with no gap. You will find the procedure for fitting it and the way of securing it in the manufacturer's instructions; for gluing, a very small amount of super glue applied to the edges is enough, because any excess is easily squeezed out onto the visible side. Fit the panel before you glue the halves of the fuselage together; once the cockpit is closed you will no longer get at it. If you are going to spray the clear canopy, cover the instrument panel beforehand.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
