A colored printed cockpit interior for the Mirage 2000B model in 1:32 scale, prepared for the Kitty Hawk kit. The elements are briefly soaked and slid off the decal paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage 2000 is a French fighter with a delta wing. The Mirage 2000B version is its two-seat standard with the seats one behind the other, intended for training. The second cockpit means another instrument panel, further side consoles and further belts, so the interior is more visible on the finished model than on the single-seat version and deserves attention.
Colored three-dimensionally printed elements of the cockpit interior for the Mirage 2000B model in 1:32 scale. They carry printed instrument panels, side consoles and seat belts, so laborious brush painting of them falls away while the raised surface still shows. According to the name the set is prepared for the Kitty Hawk kit. The elements are printed on a decal backing paper, off which they slide into place after a brief soak.
The elements of this range have no adhesive layer of their own, and so they are applied like a decal. Clean the area in the cockpit beforehand, paint it and go over it with a gloss clear coat of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 kind, on which they hold reliably. Cut the part out of the sheet, leave it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and then slide it off the paper into place; on surfaces with many shapes a drop of superglue helps. Do not use decal softener or decal fixative, as they would damage the printed resin. The exact order of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
