Eduard 1:32 North American F-100C Super Sabre slats is a photo-etched set focused on the slats on the leading edge of the wing of a model of the American supersonic aircraft in 1:32 scale.

This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The set contains parts of thin etched sheet intended, according to the name, for the area of the slats, that is, the movable surfaces on the leading edge of the wing. That is exactly where a plastic molding tends to be thickest and the edge of the wing comes across as disproportionately heavy. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Eduard.
In reality slats are thin sheet-metal sections that reveal a gap between themselves and the wing when they are extended. Injection-molded plastic can manage both this gap and the thickness of the edge only in simplified form. Etched sheet makes it possible to model both a thin profile and the inner walls of the space under a slat, so that extended slats finally look right for the scale.
The North American F-100C Super Sabre was an American single-engine supersonic aircraft with a strongly swept wing and a Pratt and Whitney J57 engine with an afterburner. Automatic slats on the leading edge improved the behavior of the aircraft at lower speeds, where a swept wing is prone to flow separation.
Before gluing, think over whether you will build the slats retracted or extended, because that changes both the procedure and the visible extent of the parts. Separate the sheet with a sharp knife and make the folds in a bending tool. Glue with super glue and use a primer on the metal. Paint the inner faces under the slats before you close them up.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
