Steel photo-etched restraint belts by Eduard for the 1:48 B-26G Marauder are belts of steel foil printed in color that hold the sag they are formed into.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains restraint belts printed in color and etched from steel foil. Steel behaves differently from soft brass photo-etch: it can be formed into a soft sag and will keep that shape, so the belts do not look like flat tin but like fabric thrown over a seat. The maker is the Czech firm Eduard of Obrnice near Most.
The seats are among the first things a viewer notices in an open cockpit, and empty shells without harnesses knock the whole impression down. On the late Marauder with its glazed nose and side stations this holds doubly true, because you can see into the cabin from several directions. American-made harnesses had light-colored fabric and metal buckles, which stand out on printed photo-etch without a single stroke of the brush. The B-26G version closed out production of the type and its cabin was modified against the first series, so the set matches the late arrangement.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and level the edges with a file. Steel is springier than brass, so lead the bend over a sharp edge and hold it a moment longer. Form the sag with a blunt tip over a soft surface. It is glued with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue; do not expose the printing to thinners or to aggressive cleaners.
The package contains a photo-etched fret, not a kit or paints.
