Eduard 1:32 North American F-100C Super Sabre undercarriage is a photo-etched set focused on the landing gear and the landing gear bays of a model of the American supersonic aircraft in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The set contains parts of thin etched sheet intended, according to the name, for the landing gear, that is, for the legs, the doors and the space of the landing gear bays. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Eduard.
Landing gear bays are among the places most on view on a model, because the model stands and the viewer looks into them from below. A real bay is densely threaded with runs, stiffeners and sheet-metal bulkheads that cannot be cast in plastic. Etched sheet manages them at a thickness true to scale, as it does the thin landing gear bay doors, whose plastic version tends to be several times thicker than reality would warrant.
The North American F-100C Super Sabre was an American single-engine supersonic aircraft with a Pratt and Whitney J57 engine with an afterburner. It had a conventional tricycle landing gear arrangement with a nose leg, adapted to operating from concrete runways.
Complete and paint the bays before you glue the halves of the fuselage and the wing together. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and bend them in a bending tool. Glue with super glue and apply a primer on the metal. The space of the bays is rewarding for a fine wash, which will accentuate the runs and the ribs.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
