1:32 North-American P-51D-15 Mustang is a bundle of Eduard resin upgrade sets from the Big Sin range for a 1:32 scale P-51D fighter model. It is not an airplane kit.

The Big Sin range brings several separate resin sets together in a single box for one specific model. What you are buying is therefore a set of upgrades, not an airplane kit. The point of the pack is to replace the simplified plastic parts with more finely cast resin ones and take the model a level further without having to track down the individual sets one by one.
The P-51D was the most widely built version of the American North American P-51 Mustang fighter. It can be told from the earlier versions by its teardrop canopy and cut-down rear fuselage, which greatly improved the pilot's view. Power came from a supercharged V12 engine, thanks to which the aircraft kept its performance even at high altitude, and combined with drop tanks it could fly long-range escort missions. The -15 block designation corresponds to one of the production series of the P-51D, which differed from one another in detail changes to the airframe and the equipment.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent, otherwise the paint will not hold on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, level the surface and protect your airways while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; plastic cement has no effect on resin. It is practical to paint most of the parts before they go into the fuselage, because once the cockpit is closed up you can no longer reach them. On the polished metal surfaces of the Mustang, lacquer metallics sprayed over a smooth base work well and are masked at the very end.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
