HGW 1:32 Rumpler C.IV - the detail set is an extensive brass photo-etched set for comprehensive detailing of a model of the German reconnaissance biplane Rumpler C.IV. It is not a kit but a detail accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extensive brass photo-etched set from HGW in 1:32 scale for comprehensive detailing of a model of the German aircraft Rumpler C.IV. It joins elements for the interior, the external surface, the fittings and the armament into one package and so it covers most of the visible parts of a model at once. It is an accessory to a plastic model, and the set does not hold the kit itself.
The Rumpler C.IV was a German two-seat armed reconnaissance aircraft of the First World War, valued above all for its performance at high altitude. It served for long-range reconnaissance and photography and its crew consisted of a pilot and an observer with a movable machine gun. An elegant machine with a richly detailed surface, it offers a range of details to render.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, shaped with a bender or a ruler and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. With a more extensive set it is good to build in stages and to assemble the individual photo-etched groups in logical subassemblies. Before painting it is worth degreasing the metal and going over it with a base coat for better adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The aircraft kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
