The fabric seat belts HGW 1:32 Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin – Seatbelts for the cockpit of the fighter biplane. Laser-cut printed fabric with metal buckles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an accessory for a cockpit, not a kit of the aircraft. It is made up of straps of printed microtextile cut by laser and photo-etched metal buckles. It is intended for models of the British Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin fighter biplane in 1:32 scale.
The Dolphin was a single-seat fighter biplane of the close of the First World War with an unusual arrangement of its lifting surfaces, in which the pilot had his head in an open cut-out in the upper wing. The interior is therefore visible from immediate range and from above, so a hard, flat photo-etched strap easily gives away that it is metal. The fabric can be bent and left to lie loose over the seat and over the side of the fuselage.
Take the part out of the sheet, remove the backing paper and work the strap between your fingers, so that it loses its flatness. The ends are threaded through the photo-etched buckles and fixed with a spot of cyanoacrylate. The fabric will take a fine wash with an oil or an enamel paint to dirty the straps down; with machines of this period it suits staying in muted leather and canvas tones. You will make the work easier with tweezers and a fresh blade.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but an accessory for the interior. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
