Spandau 08/15 (Fokker version) 1:32 is a set of two precisely printed aircraft machine guns for models of German fighters of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set of two precisely printed Spandau LMG 08/15 machine guns in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic machine guns from the box on models of German fighters of the First World War. The Fokker version differs in the shape of the ejection chutes; the padding is a separate part, so you use it only where the real aircraft actually had it.
The LMG 08/15 was a lightened 7.92 mm aircraft machine gun derived from the ground-based Maschinengewehr 08. It became the standard fixed onboard weapon of German fighters and fired synchronized through the propeller disc. On a model it is clearly visible in the area in front of the pilot, so a faithful rendering of the weapon considerably raises the impression of the whole build.
First wash the parts to remove the residue of the print resin, carefully separate them from the print gates and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The hollow barrel is printed as a single part, so the laborious rolling of a barrel from photo-etch falls away. Sand and clean them up with respiratory protection. The metallic look comes out well after spraying a dark base and light weathering.
The set contains detail parts only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
