This is a set of accurate turned metal parts from MASTER in 1:32 scale. The set contains 14 static dischargers in the form used on Sukhoi jets. It is not a model of an aircraft but a refining accessory intended to replace the oversized plastic parts from the original kit.
Static dischargers are small rods spaced along the trailing edges of the wings and tail surfaces. They lead away into the surrounding air the static charge that builds up on the airframe in flight through friction with the air, and so protect the onboard electronics and radio equipment. On modern combat aircraft they are an easily visible but on models often neglected detail.
The parts are cut cleanly from the carrier at the turned edge of the metal and glued with cyanoacrylate into pre-drilled holes. Metal holds paint better once covered with a base coat (a primer). Fitting belongs among the very last steps, so that the fragile rods are not damaged while the model is handled.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
