This kit from Revell in 1:32 scale captures a large American tractor with a semitrailer in the form of a concert (tour) truck. It is the kind of truck that carries stage equipment and sound systems for bands between the individual stops of a tour. The model contains the tractor cab, the semitrailer and a number of chrome parts and decals. The exact contents and the particular finish are given in the instructions.
Tour trucks are long-distance tractors with semitrailers, adapted for the quick and safe transport of sound and lighting equipment, stage structures and the gear of bands. The trailers tend to be covered with bold graphics linked to the tour in question, so an ordinary truck becomes a rolling advertisement. Tractors of this class are built for long journeys with bulky but relatively light loads.
The large painted surfaces of the cab and the trailer call for a smooth gloss base, on which the graphic decals stand out and do not silver. Leave the chrome parts until last and glue them in spots so that the cement leaves no marks. Mask the glazing and set the tires and the chassis apart in color. Once the decals are applied, unify the surface with a suitable clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
