Aber 1:35 metal barrel 88 mm KwK 43/3 L/71 for the Tiger II is an accurate turned barrel that replaces the plastic barrel of the tank's main gun on vehicles with the production turret.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aber metal barrel is a turned replacement part in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is not a model but an accurate accessory that replaces the plastic barrel of the German 8.8 cm KwK 43/3 L/71 gun on the heavy tank Tiger II in the form with the production turret (Serien-Turm).
The long 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun was among the most effective tank guns of the Second World War and it was the main armament of the Tiger II. It is precisely on such a slender, long barrel that the advantage of turned metal stands out: the part is perfectly straight, true to its axis and without seams, with a faithfully rendered muzzle and a suggestion of the muzzle brake. The laborious cleaning up of a glued plastic barrel, which moreover bends easily, falls away.
Degrease the barrel, clean up the seating surface in the turret and fit it in place of the plastic part. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the metal with a primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
