A plastic set in 1:35 scale containing several miniature models of the modern American assault rifle of the AR-15/M16/M4 family in the CQB configuration, that is the shortened form for Close Quarters Battle. It is not a vehicle model but a set of small arms with which you can arm figures, complete the interior of a vehicle or bring a diorama on a contemporary subject to life. The shorter barrel and compact layout make this configuration typical of fighting in built-up areas and of special forces operations. Convincingly made weapons with fine detail lend credibility to figures and to a scene. The parts are injection-molded in plastic and are glued like an ordinary kit.

Building and painting tips

• Cut the small parts from the sprues carefully and clean them up, gluing with liquid cement for plastic.
• Apply a suitable primer before painting.
• Shade the body of the weapon in matte black to anthracite and set the stocks and grips apart.
• A dry brush and a fine wash will bring out the edges and the texture of the parts.
