The set serves purely to press prints into modeling terrain compound; it contains no figures and no parts.

Use

• with muddy terrain work with wetter compound - the edges of the print will push up slightly and the print will look as if it were in soft ground
• with dried and trampled ground, by contrast, let the compound set more and the print will be shallow and crisp
• moisten the contact surface before each print so that the compound does not cling
• combine the prints with the tracks of treads and wheels - a line of footprints that ends at a vehicle tells a story all by itself
• once it is dry, draw a dark wash into the recesses, and on muddy scenes add the glossy effect of standing water in only a few of the prints, not in all of them
