You cut out the flattened shells, fold them along the marked edges and glue them into three-dimensional miniature parcels complete with shipping labels and printing. In 1:35 scale this is a rewarding prop that tells a story at once - delivering parcels is one of the most typical images of a present-day street.
The parcels work in modern town scenes: a courier van with its doors open, a delivery driver at an entrance, a parcel pickup point, a post office, a warehouse or the dock of a logistics center. A pile of parcels on a hand truck or single parcels left in front of house doors also look interesting. Cut the shells with a sharp knife against a steel ruler, score the edges with the blunt side of the blade before folding and glue with a small amount of PVA so that the paper does not soak through. You can combine boxes of various sizes and angles, and crumple one of them lightly - perfectly straight stacks of parcels look less natural. Matte varnish and a touch of dust pigment will unify the print with the rest of the scene.
