Aber 1:35 construction sections - channel irons is a photo-etched brass set of U-shaped channel sections for building load-bearing structures and industrial features in a diorama in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit of a vehicle but modeling material. The photo-etched brass fret holds U-shaped sections, that is, channel sections, which are bent into their final shape once taken out. They serve as a building feature in 1:35 scale: girders, rails for crane runways, frames for gates, floor stiffeners, the skeletons of shelters or damaged structures in the ruins of buildings. The manufacturer is the Polish firm Aber, known for photo-etched and turned accessories for military models.
In real building practice a channel section is a typical load-bearing feature, and in a diorama it is the hallmark of industrial architecture. Photo-etched brass keeps a wall thin enough to match the scale while the structure stays strong. The sections can be shortened, joined into lattice girders and combined with other photo-etched features, for example with angle irons or with insulators for a power line. The result is more convincing than plastic sections, whose walls are too thick in this scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel, not by twisting. Use a photo-etch bending tool or two blades for the bend, so that the edge stays sharp. Make the joints with cyanoacrylate glue; on load-bearing structures soldering with tin is better. Degrease the brass before painting and lay down a primer for metal. Shades of dust and rust bring a steel structure to life, the hairspray technique works excellently, and pigments in the corners and an oil wash bring out rivets and joints.
The accessory is supplied as a photo-etched brass fret, unpainted. A base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
