Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic science fiction kit in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The subject is the Galleon machine from the world of Crusher Joe, a Japanese adventure fantasy property for which Hasegawa has released a whole group of models in various scales. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Crusher Joe is a fantasy story world in which machinery plays a large part: ships, small fighter craft and work vehicles with a visual identity of their own. The model range that Hasegawa prepared for it reaches from small scales for the vessels up to larger models of individual machines, so collectors can build whole groups. Galleon is one of these machines; because it is a fictional subject there is nothing to check against reality, and the modeler has complete freedom in the treatment of colors, wear and any diorama setting.
Science fiction models leave room for a personal hand. Even the smooth surfaces out with a filler primer first, so that the engraving and the panels come out. For a technical look, a procedure from a darker base toward lighter coats helps, supplemented by a wash into the panel lines and a dry brush on the edges. If you want a used, worn-in-service look, reach for the chipping method with chipping fluid. Mask the clear parts and finish the frames with a fine brush. The model stands out well on a simple base or in a small setting, which gives the scale some context.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
