The model captures the tracked vehicle of the successful Stridsfordon 90 family, with a turret carrying a 30 mm automatic cannon. The package holds parts for building the hull, the turret and the running gear, and a decal sheet; check the exact contents against the instructions in the box.
The CV90 (Stridsfordon 90) is a family of Swedish tracked fighting vehicles designed at the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s. The vehicle stands out for its good mobility in heavy terrain and at low temperatures, its low silhouette and its modular design, which allows various turrets and armament to be fitted. The export CV90-30 variant carries a 30 mm automatic cannon in the turret and supplementary machine gun armament. The type proved itself with a number of European armies and became one of the most successful modern infantry fighting vehicles.
Assemble and test the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull and fitting the side skirts over the running gear. The low angular silhouette of the CV90 invites pronounced shading: bring the base color to life with a wash into the panel lines and use dry-brushing to bring out the edges and the rivets. Apply dust and mud pigments to the running gear and the underside. If you choose a Nordic camouflage, take care over sharp transitions in the pattern; with single-color schemes rely on fine shading of the surfaces.
