1:35 HAD models decals, German turret numbers, Second World War, part 7 is a decal sheet with tactical digits for models of armored equipment in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The seventh part of a series of decal sheets with tactical numbers for models of German armored equipment of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale. The product is not a kit: it is an accessory for a model. It is made by the Hungarian brand HAD models as wet, waterslide decals on a clear carrier film.
A tactical number on a turret served to pick out a particular vehicle within a unit: the individual digits corresponded to the company, the platoon and the vehicle's place. Because the style of the digits differed over time and between units, the manufacturer issues a series of sheets with different styles, so that a modeler can match more closely the variant being built.
The procedure is the same as for any other wet decal: a gloss base, cut out close to the edge, soak in lukewarm water, transfer to the dampened place and fine-tune the position with a brush. Soak the surplus water up with a tissue, otherwise the decal will ripple as it dries. On digits that run across an edge or over rivets use a softener and let it work undisturbed. Finally go over the whole model with a matte varnish so that the carrier film disappears into the surface of the paint; a fine wash or dust pigment drawn over the number then makes sure it does not look like a mark stuck on afterwards.
A decal sheet is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
