This is a photo-etched metal diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but a set of parts for building fencing that rounds out the setting around a model: a yard, a garden, a barracks courtyard or the edge of a village scene. Photo-etched metal can capture the thin sections of fence components at a thickness that injected plastic cannot reach.
A fence is one of the basic features that give a diorama scale and depth. It leads the viewer's eye, separates areas and gives a scene a civilian context. The type A variant is one of the patterns offered in this range; the parts can be shortened, joined and bent exactly to the layout of a particular scene.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out by twisting. A photo-etch bending tool or two steel rulers will serve for the bends. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); a two-part epoxy holds better on larger joints. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a base coat meant for metals, and only then acrylics or enamels. You create weathering with a wash in the joints, a drybrush and pigments.
This is a diorama accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and a base board are not included in the package.
