Dipping ink 60 ml - Limelight Dip (Green Stuff World)

An acrylic ink from Green Stuff World from the Dipping Ink line, in a 60 ml bottle. The whole line is built on the dipping technique: the model is dipped into the ink, or the ink is applied in a rich layer with a brush, the surplus is left to drip off and the material runs into the recesses by itself. There it darkens and creates a shadow, whereas the edges and raised places stay lighter. In one step you thus get a three-dimensional look for a whole figure.

What it is and what it is not

It is not an opaque paint and not a primer. It is a toning ink - the base shows through it and helps determine the final impression. So always try the procedure out on a test piece before you set a whole unit going.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use, because the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Apply onto a dry base coat, not onto fresh paint.
• Let the surplus drip off and draw the rest away with a clean brush - pools stay visible as patches once they have dried.
• The ink can also be used selectively, only into chosen folds and engraved lines.
• Once it has dried, highlight the edges and fix it with varnish.
